The Maitland Information Centre is a Community Centre that was originally funded by Networking the Nation. It has been in existence since 2002 and has formed relationships with MADEC, Department of Human Services, Anglicare, the Yorke Peninsula Council, Rural Training, local business’s and individuals. It holds community training sessions on many aspects of computer use from beginners to more advanced. If there is something that you are interested in please let us know and we will try to arrange for it to happen.
Being a community centre with wonderful conference facilities we encourage you to utilise our rooms by holding your meetings or workshops here. We can do it all for you from setting up the room, catering and organise accommodation in our beautiful Clydesdale Cottage. Community centres only become vibrant when the community accesses the services and has input into them.
Another great service of the centre is that we have various things for hire to assist you when hosting an event. We have things for catering such as crockery, cutlery, trestles etc for hire along with meeting equipment like digital projector/screen. Give us a call to discuss this further and you can download your facilities and equipment hire forms right here.
As well as the Maitland Information Centre itself we have two fantastic satelite projects on site. The first one is the Maitland Markets where local Art and Crafts produce and supplies are for sale and the second is the Men’s Shed, where you can come and do some wood working or metal work. Both the Maitland Markets and the Men’s shed are located behind the Maitland Information Centre in the Heart of Maitland Complex.
